Quiz Night at the Inn at The Park, Aberdeen
Following a successful lunchtime promotion of Bike Bengal 2012 with the Shell UK Finance Director Jonathan Gordon (left image) at the the Shell UK offices in Altens, Aberdeen, Jonathan and I joined another BB12 rider, Duncan Christie, at the Inn at the Park where we hosted a Charity Quiz Night. A fourth rider, Frank Dunn, was there to join us with his family.
Some 45 friends and colleagues attended the quiz and, led by Duncan our talented and enigmatic quizmaster, we were able to battle though a selection of 100 questions in the course of the evening! For those who were more creatively gifted or perhaps mesmerized by
Duncan’s enigma, there was the opportunity to build an Indian bike (big saddle seats!) out of paper cups, paper plates, kitchen foil, drinking straws and cocktail sticks. Suffice to say that the models submitted were constructed with extreme care and in detail and in some instances, required a free and imaginative mind to interpret!
The overall winning team pictured above, helped by some bonus points from submitting a masterpiece with wheels that actually turned, were Fattie & The Jessica’s! Congratulations to the team!
To supplement the evenings fund collection, there was a raffle with prizes donated by friends, which meant that we came away with a total amount of £535 - not too bad to cap off what was a very enjoyable eveningI Thanks to all who attended and Bike Bengal 2012 very much appreciated your presence and generosity last night.
